Description

Stachyose is a tetrasaccharide with the molecular formula C24H42O21 and CAS number 470-55-3. The product is supplied as a white powder with a slightly sweet taste (22% sweetness of sucrose) and an 80 mesh particle size. Stachyose is soluble in water but insoluble in organic solvents such as ether and ethanol. It exhibits good thermal stability at temperatures up to 100°C, allowing its use in products requiring autoclaving. The 70% content specification ensures stability in production.
