Description
Bovine Lactoferrin Powder is an important non-heme iron-binding glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 80 kDa. It is primarily expressed and secreted by mammary epithelial cells and is widely present in mammalian exocrine fluids such as milk, tears, and saliva, as well as in immune cells. The product is a light pink powder with a purity specification of 98%. Lactoferrin is known for its ability to chelate iron ions, which can influence microbial growth. It can also interact with lipid A of Gram-negative bacteria. The N-terminus of lactoferrin contains a sequence encoding an antimicrobial peptide. To maintain product stability and properties, it is recommended to store it in a dry, dark place at room temperature in a sealed container. Purchasers should pay attention to purity and storage conditions to ensure the quality of the ingredient in production.
