Description

Povidone K30, also known as polyvinylpyrrolidone K30, is a macromolecular polymer derived from N-Vinylpyrrolidone (NVP) through polymerization. Its mean molecular weight is 40000. It is a white to off-white powder, odorless and tasteless, highly soluble in water and ethanol, but insoluble in acetone or ether. The molecular formula is (C6H9NO)n. Povidone K30 exhibits hygroscopic nature, good adhesive properties, a stable pH value, and the ability to form transparent films. It is supplied as a powder with an 80 mesh particle size. These characteristics make it a valuable ingredient for various manufacturing processes. For purchasers, product stability, solubility, and compliance with specifications are crucial for ensuring the quality of the final product.
