Description

Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is a straight-chain polysaccharide linked by β-1,4-glucoside bonds. It consists of very fine, free-flowing, short rod-like or powdery porous particles obtained by hydrolyzing natural cellulose with dilute acid to a limit degree of polymerization. The product is a white, odorless, tasteless crystalline powder. Its specification is typically 99% purity, with an 80 mesh particle size.
